Vomit

Last Friday morning DS announced his tummy hurt and he had to vomit. Made it to the toilet, no fever, nausea... Was pretty much fine afterwards.

Today get a call from school that he vomited and to come pick him up. Looks a little pale, no fever, no nausea, says he's hungry.

Symptoms are so much different from this past year or so, isn't copious, nor is it projectile. Doesn't suddenly have pain followed by vomit.

After his surgery this past summer we were warned the first time he vomited, we'd probably freak out. So it's documented. Not even going to begin to speculate. If it continues, we'll make a call. Will mention it at his next appointment for sure. Ugh!

He's fine now. Has eaten cheetos, cheeto balls, orange crush, crackers, peanuts... Got a bucket next to him jussst in case.

We can't deny that we are shellshocked from previous calamities. HOpefully this is just a virus, it doesn't sound like another obstruction to me. But we both know, things can go bad fast when it is. Hang in there and keep watch without freaking.

Liza,
I understand how you feel. Hopefully he picked up a stomache virus from his school class. Last year on vacation, Maggie threw up with a stomache bug. No fever, just terrible pukes, then diahrea..I have a habit of calling friends "in the know" in Maggie's class to know what "bug" is going around. This particular time I called a friend who know lots of the families/kids in Maggie class and she did confirm there was a terrible stoamche bug going around. Course a few days later our whole family got it. I also am in touch with the school nurse from time to time and she'll let me know if fevers/cough etc are going around. Hope this passes without incident.
