vomiting

We are in the process of trying to figure out a vomiting issue, too. Emily has a g-tube, and for the last few weeks she has thrownup on a regular basis about an hour or two after the feeding stopped. Not everyday, but enough that we took her in to the cf and gi clinics yesterday. She vomits just once, though, not 10 -12 times through out the day.

Definatley take her in. She's losing everything she's taking in. You just don't want that kind of calorie loss. I'd guess that it's reflux, unless you already have her on meds for that. How long has she had the tube? Maybe they need to switch her to a j-tube? Myabe it's a virus, but 10 - 12 times in a day is a lot for that kind of thing...

Please be insistent with the docs. Don't wait all week like we did. Take her in tomorrow and stay until she is seen!

Good luck!
