Hey everyone...
THANKS to all of you for responding. Ive been reading the blogs here and was just wondering , When they do geno testing is it always the Ambry test? Like I said I went to Quest diagnostics, they said they test for over 1000 mutations, is this the same thing? I am so confused, I feel like I didnt ask enough questions because I was in shock when the sweat came back borderline.

The test at Quest is almost the same as at Ambry. As long as the did the "CF Complete Test." If they are testing for over 1000 mutations it sounds like the right one. We have had testing at both and the results were the same.

There are 1500+ mutations.

Make sure you get the Ambry Amplified test to ensure that they check for every known CF mutation. If you test for just 1000, there are 500 more that you might be missing.

Make sure you get the Ambry Amplified test to ensure that they check for every known CF mutation. If you test for just 1000, there are 500 more that you might be missing.
