Hi,

My daughter doesn't have asthma and she has seritide as a preventative twice a day (this helps with excessive coughing)

and she also has ventolin before physio twice a day as it helps to open the airways. She is on Hypertonic saline and this can cause some wheezing (but it doesnt for her) I think the docs put her on it as a precaution.

hope this helps a bit <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Yes....I dont have asthma (at least i dont think so) but I do inhalers. like Mum2Kj said....to open up my airways before treatments. This helps to ease any irritation such as wheezing. I also use albuterol for fast acting cough relief...doesnt always work (depends on the type of cough) but I have it. I also have advair, which is longer-acting inhaler type deal!

Hope this helps!

Many people with CF use inhalers, but dont have Asmtha. It all helps open the airways by decreasing inflammation etc which helps us get the junk up.
