Mud daubers do not sting, so they are of no threat to you. Other than being creepy. <img src=""> A can of wasp killer will kill them as well as the yellow jackets, hornets and wasps. You can stand way back when you spray the nest, and it won't hurt anyone or your animals. After it dries, just remove the nests and throw them away.

we have a can of the spray, we are almost out of it actually. we've used almost the entire can on our tiny screened in porch in about 2 weeks. the problem with the wasps are they keep coming. we have killed several. i will try the paper bag and see if that will work. we are having people over on saturday so i'm hoping to get it taken care of before then. This is stupid on my part, but we do keep the screen door open, but that is so buttercup can go in and out as she pleases. i guess if it continues and we can't figure something out we will have to start keeping that door closed.

are you specificially using wasp spray or regular bug killer? I seem to recall the instructions for the foam wasp spray were to saturate the nest, so it smothers them all. My husband covered himself from head to toe -- think he wore his respirator from car painting to cover most of his face (protect from stings) and then he knocked the nest into the yard and destroyed it.
