We too use the reverse osmosis system for all drinking water and foods. Not necessarily because our kids have CF, but because we are picky about the way our water tastes.

We have purchased our latest system off of eBay, but like Jada said you can find them at Home Depot too. It is amazing how used to good tasting water you will get - it's pretty hard to drink just tap water ever again.

I sewed a cart cover for my daughter, and we are still using it now that she is 4 <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> . One advantage of having a cart cover is no more constantly chasing crayons, snacks, toys in the store floor <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> . I also don't lose as many coupons, lol. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> .

I can't help with the tap water issue, but we have a Pur water pitcher, and I really like it. I use it to prefilter my sinus rinse water before I boil it.
