Hey all!
Just wanted to share our news that we just adopted. Isaiah was born October 29 and was adopted by us October 30. Born 7lb. 5oz., 19.5 inches. He's laid back, a good sleeper and very sweet. He's perfect for my husband and I.

I've been feeling good!! My mom came in to help out for 2.5 weeks and just left on Monday. She, my husband and I switched off night duty and for the last weekend, I got 4 nights in a row of sleep to get me feeling tip top before she left. I've had great energy (partially, thanks to me not working) and Isaiah has gotten into the habit of sleeping well at night (first 2 weeks were not that great) and only feeding once between 11pm and 8am.

So to all of those wondering if you should have kids...adoption or biologically...chalk one up to an adoption encouragement story...for the sake of my quality, prolonged health, adoption was our answer!!

Congrats! I'm surprised he only takes 1 feeding during the night! Logan nursed (I know it can be different to formula feed) every 2-3 hours round the clock till he was several months old. Just goes to show how every baby is so different <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Do you have him sleeping in your room? That will allow you the most rest and goodness knows we need our rest! Congratulations again!

What a wonderful story, thank you so much for sharing your story, congratulations. It is so wonderful you were able to get him so young.

I am assuming this was a local thing? Can I ask if their were extra hurdles when you were being evaluated due to your health adn how they were handled?

Adoption is something we had considered in the past and if none of our frozen embryo transfers were to work (we have 11 in cryo) then we might consider again.
