Hey Guys,
Today I am officially 24 weeks! Important day since now they tell me the twins are viable but definately am reaching for the goal of at least 12 more weeks with them.

So far I have gained 15-17 pounds (depending on what scale I use) and was wondering, how much weight did everyone gain with their pregnancies and how much weight did you loose right after delivery?

At 24 weeks I had gained 12.5 lbs. My goal for that week was 13 lbs so I was doing just fine. Remember I was a singleton pregnancy though. What was your goal for 24 weeks? In all I gained 27 lbs. lbs. I lost 16 in the first two days post birth, then 4 the next week and another 4 the following week. So by the time Isaac was 2 weeks old I was only 3 lbs. above my pre-preg. weight. I held onto those 3 lbs. until around 6 weeks when they slipped away along with another 5 lbs. by the time he was 8-10 weeks. I am PI but always had no trouble keeping weight on. I am breastfeeding and find I have to eat as much as I did during pregnancy to keep my weight up.

With my twins, I gained exactly 30 pounds. I lost 35 pounds 5 days after delivery and stayed there for several months. I was breastfeeding the twins and it was so great to be able to eat as much as I wanted to/needed to after the twins were born. When I was pregnant it was so hard to eat a lot becuase they took up a lot of room. I had to eat many small meals while I was pregnant. I ate about 5 medium to large size meals every day when I was breastfeeding though. I was constantly hungry! Didn't gain an ounce during breastfeeding though. I am pancreatic insufficient, so I took enzymes during pregnancy and afterwards as well.
