weight gain in pregnancy question please respond!

If you are fairly healthy-which I'm assuming you are if you are pregnant in the first place-there is no reason why you won't be able to carry these babies to full term or very close to full term. Women carry twins full term every day! I suggest you pick up a good book on natural birth and natural pregnancies-it will really encourage you. You CAN do it!!

I weighed about 124-ish before I got pregnant. When I weighed in at the hospital to deliver I was 135. When I left the hospital I weighed about 127 but quickly lost about 25 lbs over 2 months. I got pneumonia almost immediately after. So all in all I gained 11 lbs, mostly baby weight. I was unable to breastfeed because I was on a couple different antibiotics, and other meds. It took me a good year to get back up to the 120's.

Anyway I gained about 40lbs <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">, carried full term and was induced.

I will be opposite next time and not try to gain weight, in beginning I was not gaining, I was loosing and they had me terrified trying to eat full fat extra caloric everythign to gain weight, treating me like a PI cf'er whne I was already chubby. I think I normally would have gained little in beginning and more towards end if left to my own devices and this is what I will do next time now that I trust my body more and know what to expect.

Though I must say with twins there is alot stuff showing the more you can gain early on the better.
