Weight gain

Hi all-

So in the last couple of weeks I have gained about 10 lbs. I haven't been eating more or differently and I have felt pretty bad actually. Usually if I am sick I would lose weight so I am perplexed. I am not happy about the weight gain. Any ideas of what this could be, or if this is a symptom of anything?

Thanks!

I would be concerned. Especially if its not normal for you to put weight on. If nothing has changed (meds? routine? diet?) then something is a miss. I hate to look gift weight in the mouth (sorry doesnt really flow like gift horse, but I tried), but that is a lot in a few weeks without trying.

Geesh, I would be concerned if you normally lose weight while sick....do you feel puffy at all? Weight gain could be from fluid, I would talk to your doctor or better yet, see him or her so that you can be examined and perhaps some tests can be done to see if you are indeed retaining fluid instead of gaining fat and muscle. I will be thinking of you...hugs, Jenn <img src="i/expressions/rose.gif" border="0">

Since I am new here I may be asking a dumb question but any chance you are pregnant? Hormones can do a # on your ability to gain weight sometimes. There are a # of women at my clinci that got pregnant on accident
