Weird

As I was driving my daughter to the ER yesterday, as worried as I was about her, I couldn't stop the thought that at least it was not CF related! We actually had a "normal" emergency! She got a terrible gouge in her shin that required 16 stitches. I can't get the image out of my mind; it was the first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning. I even got woozy at the hospital...I've never done that before.
Weird.

I know what you mean.
Whenever I get sick for something non-CF related, I just get in this kinda "Whoa" state.

Sorry about your daughter's shin though. Hope she's doing good!

WOW, tell her I'm impressed. 16 is a pretty good batch of stiches.

And I agree, it seems weird when you end up at the Dr for something 'normal' like stiches or a broken bone.

When DS was two, he managed to break a snowglobe over his head and got the solution in his eyes. So after holding him down and rinsing his eyes we took him to the ER and it too was really surreal to take him in for a non-CF related visit. I think I even took a picture of him in the car afterwards. Grinning and covered in stickers.

BTW, snowglobe solution is normally made up of anti-freeze or alcohol. Okay if it gets in your eyse. Not so good if swallowed. His had antifreeze in it and he was fine. Worried briefly about DH who tasted the solution when I said -- what is this? It smells familiar.
