Hi everyone.
First post.
My better half has CF.
I want to some great books about CF and about living with it, so I can understand the disease and what she is going through better.
Any suggestions?
I'm not afraid of detail or heavy science.

Thanks,
Combustible

I was given a book that I've found very informative - "Cystic Fibrosis Third Edition, A Guide for Patient and Family" by David M. Orenstein, M.D." It was published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. I've seen it on Amazon but mine says courtesty of Axcan Pharma.

I've also read "Alex: Life of a Child" by Frank Defford and the book written by Lo Deitrich and/or her parents about her life: "The Sprit of Lo". These are harder to read, as a parent, but they are about two incredible families and provide quite a perspective as to how far treatments have come. Good luck to you and your spouse!

Hi,

Check out crcpress.com. Go to the upper right corner and type cystic fibrosis into the search thing. Alot of great books will come up. They are quite pricey and very science oriented. I personally haven't read any, but I have one on my Christmas list this year that I'm hoping to get!

Good luck!
