What are your kiddo's vitamin D levels?

Thanks everyone!! I will ask about supplements. 18 before summer and 31 after summer doesn't sound quite good enough to me.

We were supplementing my daughter with vitamin D drops, and her levels came back unacceptably HIGH, so they told us to stop supplementing. I found this unexpected and rather alarming! Her other vitamin levels were all normal. We discontinued the D drops. Her D levels are now normal, too. My daughter is pancreatic sufficient, which may be why she doesn't require supplementation.

I don't know what my sons level was last year before starting supplements, but now after supplementing with 1200 IU per day for about a year, his D level is 22. We live in Seattle, so low vit D is not uncommon, but I was surprised that it was still so low.

When I got his lab report it said that 30 was the minimum "normal" value, so your kiddos level is low end of normal by that.

Can't remember what DS' were; however, his doctor was surprised they were so good. He takes two Source CF chewables a day, which I believe is equivilant to 2,000 IU. He also spends quite a bit of time outdoors year round and his carnation instant breakfast and ensure juice has vitamins as well.
