We have the "Festiv-ale" (beer tasting) every year through our CFF...it's VERY popular and raises tons of money. Now, doing it personally...I don't know. Like some others have said, maybe you can hook up somehow with your local CFF branch?

I know when I had my wedding reception, and when I threw a big 30th bday party for myself we had to get an alcohol permit, since we were serving alcohol to our guests. Maybe that's all you need to make it legal?

The reason we needed the permit was because we rented a venue for both receptions. If it was at my house, it wouldn't require a permit, not that I'm aware of anyway.
