What do you wear in the hostpital?

A different thread made me think of this question.
What do you wear in the hospital?
Obviously if there is surgery of some sort I would wear a johnny, but what about the other times?
I have major sweating issues, so I try to dress as comfortably as possible. I keep the thermostat down low, and usually wear pj pants/sweats, a tank top (not a camisole kind) to allow the PICC line to be checked easily, and a lightweight zip-up hoodie so that I'm not "hanging out".
The other issue is my edema. I have very bad edema that causes me to gain/lose anywhere from a few pounds to more than 12 or 14 pounds in a day. So it's makes wearing regular clothing (pants, jeans, button down shirts, bras) for a long time, really uncomfortable.
If I'm bumming around a hospital room, there's no reason for me to dress "up" lol.

When with the slightest possibility, I wear regular clothing.
Really don't like walking around in pj's and a robe when in hospital. Will wear pants, a bra, shirt, shoes.
Only not when it's not possible, like post some surgeries. Like my tx :)

It's always shorts and t-shirt for me and a hood if I'm cold. The only time I wear jeans is the day I go home.

I usually just wear a camisole under a regular tank or tshirt with a zip up hoodie and pj pants or sweats. I don't wear regular bras b/c I ALWAYS end up having a chest xray done the day I do, lol. Then it gets all awkward having to take my bra off while my shirt is still on and then just carry it back to my room...no thanks! I think it's a little more comfortable wearing the camisoles, too, b/c I'm not wearing a bra yet still feel supported. I also only wear jeans the day I go home. While I don't actually get dressed and make myself look good however, I do have a weird thing about making all of my tank-and-pj pants combos match...it makes me feel a little better about myself while I'm just bumming around a hospital room feeling otherwise icky. I guess my thought is, while everything relating to my health and body is in the crapshoot, at least my outfit matches! lol.

Depending on how bad I am feeling, I really care about what I wear, like try to match etc (ah erin, youre so cute). although its typically just various sweat pants and shorts (my mom usually has to do a load or two of laundry for me...) sometimes I wear the hospital pants if I run out of my own.
I used to wear those nasty gowns and then I realized I can wear my t-shirts if I want lol. With my chest tube though I just wore the gowns b/c its easier for them to look at the site etc. I have a super funny story about the gowns too...

I typically never wear a bra, b/c of xrays although sometimes I do, typically towards the end of my stay. I like to wear just t-shirts. And i have small boobs so support isnt that big of an issue but I hate the nipple-age, so I will cover up with a sweater or my blanket if a doc comes in and I am feeling a breeze <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

My problem in the beginning is taking showers/washing hair. I normally do it at night so i look like crap all day for my docs haha and nice and clean before bed (those beds make me sweat soo much)...

Anyways so the last time when I had my pneumothroax and pig tail chest tube, I was wearing those gowns, and they have those stupid pockets for the heart monitor cords and stuff out the top... well the gown I was wearing had a vertical tear in that pocket so it was like really open if I didnt watch it... well one of my docs came in when i was by myself and I was just laying there talking away and stuff when my fiance walks in and listens to the rest of the convo... after the doc leaves (a good 10-15 minutes of talking) Cory (fiance) shows me that my boob was exposed the ENTIRE TIME b/c of the way the pocket was sitting and I was laying... hahaha its sooo funny to me... its a big joke between us now and he (cory) says Im trying to hit on the docs. It was funny b/c the doc looked kinda nervous-y too and I just wish he would have said something...

I wear shorts and a t-shirt. When I get cold I wear my Marching Band hoodie. I try staying away from tight fitting cloths.
