What ELSE could an elevated sweat test indicate?

So baby girl (5 months old this Wednesday!) Will be going for her repeat sweat test in 3 weeks. I am curious to see if the numbers have increased, decreased or have stayed the same. At 25 days old, the levels were 33 and 31. I almost expect them to go higher, but I also will not be surprised if they stay in the indeterminate/ gray zone category.

My question is, what ELSE causes elevated sweat levels in people? I guess I could start playing Dr. Google and research, but I thought I'd ask here first.

And just for the record, my daughter has two mutations but nothing is known about her rare mutation--whether it's disease causing or not so she's CRMS.

Hope your daughter is doing well. I know I saw somewhere some other things that cause and increased sweat test...all very rare. (I'll see if I can find it and post.) I'm wondering though if you are thinking that is why it is elevated, as it would seem the more straightforward explanation is that she has 2 mutations to the CF gene. Given that, I can't imagine there is another explanation. It must be so hard though being in this limbo. I'm wondering if it might make more sense to just look at it as she has two mutations to her CF gene and that given her lower sweat test she definitely has some good functioning CFTR, albeit not "normal." Even those with only 1 mutation often have issues. http://uvicf.org/researchnewsite/carrierhealth/ Until they know for sure what impact I1366T has, if it were me, I'd treat aggressively to keep her healthy, because, even if the doctors don't call it "CF", she'll have some impact from having the two mutations and it may be in a few years they decide that mutation is "cystic fibrosis." I really can't imagine how hard it is richocheting between "healthy" and "chronic health condition." I am so sorry and will send up prayers as you wade through this with her doctors.
