What if you get sick?

Honestly, when I get sick I do lessen contact (slobbery kisses on hold until I am better) but I don't worry about it too much bc usually a sick person is contagious a day or 2 before symptoms show so I figure it is too late anyway. I haven't had a respiratory illness since my 4.5 year-old was dx w cf though and I suppose that would put me into a slight (if not more than slight!) panic!

For me, it has been much easier to relax as my cfer gets older.

Enjoy your new baby!

When DS first came home from the hospital after spending his first 6 weeks there, I came down with a horrible head cold. I washed my hands frequently, tried to use a mask, left the room if I sneezed...

We usually try to limit contact, but last year I think we figured DS was probably healthier than either DH or myself. DH got a stomach bug and a couple weeks later he got the GERMAN MEASLES. I got bronchitis and would awaken from my coma nap to find DS laying on top of my head. We do have masks we try to wear, too. And DS thinks it's cool, so he gets one, too.

We just wash hands frequently, use hand sanitizer and Lysol. I really only use Lysol on the door handles and light switches that everyone touches so often.
