What is your daily routine?

I'm not a parent, but thought I'd share my routine.

Off Tobi month:

Up at 6:24, my Chest Physical Therapist arrives at 6:30.

CPT finishes @ 7:20. Boil nebs, jump in the shower.

Start Hypertonic saline at 7:35.

Hit of advair after nebs are done.

Get dressed, out the door @ 8:20.

I eat breakfast at work.

Tuesdays and Thursdays I run 40 minutes during lunch. Mon. Wed. Fri I either lift or bike after work (I work full time).

Boil nebs while cooking dinner. Usually end up starting HS and Pulmozyme around
9:30, finish, go to bed between 10:30-11:00.

Advair before bed.

Repeat.

For Tobi months, I boil nebs the night before, get up at 6:00am, do HS before CPT arrives at 6:30, and TRY to start nebs 30 minutes earlier in the evenings.

Hi Tiffany,

We get up at 6:00 for albuterol, hypertonic saline, and flutter, then showers/breakfast to be out the door by 7:15. (I don't shower before I take the kids to school. I wait until I get home to save time in the morning.)

In the afternoons the kids get home from school at 2:35 and do homework immediately. Some days we have activities that take us out of the house at 3:30 and back around 5:20. We get home and start hypertonic saline, pulmozyme, and cpt right away. That usually lasts about an hour. Of course, all of his oral meds are given around meal times throughout the day. We have all activities, homework, nebs, and therapy completed by 6:30 so we can have family dinners every night and story time with each child before lights out at 8:00 -8:30. As others have mentioned, Tobi adds about 30 minutes of neb time morning and night.

After the kids are in bed I go down to the kitchen to sterilize all of the neb cups. I do this after the kitchen has already been cleaned up from dinner and the sink and counter sprayed down with an antibacterial spray. Every inch of my kitchen counter/sink space is cleaned off every night..behind the coffee pot and everything. I am anal about keeping kitchen and bathroom surfaces clean and dry.

My husband works full time and supports our family. I am able to focus on the house, the kids, and being involved in their school, which is important to me. I would like to start a business, but am trying to consider one that would allow me the most flexiblity to do everything I need to do for the kids and not have to rely on childcare.

Oh, I didn't include preparing/dispensing meds or boiling nebs.

- At 2:30 a.m. the alarm goes off and I give DS a keflex.
-6:30 a.m. I give DS his aquadaks, actigall, septra & keflex. Follow with a sippy of carnation instant breakfast, vitamin A & E. On Monday mornings he gets a Vitamin K.
-Noon I boil nebs and wash all the oral syringes. Run to the pharmacy to pick up meds on the way home for lunch.
5:15 I give DS a vitamin tablet, actigall, septra, keflx & zithromax. While DS is snacking. Prepare all the meds in oral syringes for the next day. Mix up the powdered zithromax or keflex if need be (once a week to 10 days). While DS does his vest I usually fix dinner. If DH is working late and can't hang out with DS during his vest, then I prepare the meds over my noon hour to save time.

After supper in the summer time I take DS and the dog for a long walk. Then throw ds in the tub, let him play/soak 'til the water is cool and he's pruney. He plays some more and then at 9:30 it's vest time again and actigall & keflex again.
