for twelve years, I went everywhere by bicylcle, train or foot, but just last June, bought my first new car!!
It's a domesic car, and it's got a 1.3 litre engine (about the size of a motorcycle engine!!) It's a Suzuki Swift, and in Japan, it's a domestic car!!! I wanted a Mazda, but they cost a little more for what I wanted, and the RX-8 is on my Christmas list (maybe in the far future!!)
I actually thought of starting a spool like this, but, like before, I find if I just hold out a little, someone will think of it!! My Suzuki is a Right Hand Steering, with a Manual 5 speed! (I have to shift with the left, and hold the steering wheel, and my coffee with the right!!)

I'll take some of you daring people for a joy ride in Nara Prefecture, where the only thing between the road and the edge of a cliff is a 90 degree drop!! The roads can get so narrow, it's scarrry!

1998 Chevrolet S10 (light pickup truck). I just had it to the body shop for repairs (stupid Minnesota winter and road salting causes rust) - only to get rear ended less than a week later... my truck will be back to the shop on Monday.

Why a truck for me? When I was little my parents had a 1984 (bought new) Chevy S10. We retired it in 2001 - with 393,000 miles on it. I grew up with that truck - it was the first vehicle I ever drove. Plus, I wouldn't buy a not-Chevy vehicle. In addition to the miles my family put on that S10... we have a 1989 Chevy Astro that's still going with 320,000 (or so) miles on it.

Jeremy - 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse. He previously owned "The Beast" a 1986 Crown Victoria. He paid $666 for it - and rightly so. It was his first car (he took the bus until his mid twenties), and he didn't ever change the oil or anything maintenance-wise. Paul (my dad) helped him out, and we changed the oil and greased the fittings. Later that day, the car broke down. The repair cost (tie-rod was broken, but both the frost and rear suspension were shot) was many times more than the car was worth. The real kick in the pants... the towing place in town that ususally tows for free (they salvage the parts to make money), charged him $50 to tow - "No one wants parts for this car, it's not worth it."

I have a 1990 mazda miata and '04 Saturn VUE, depending on the weather is what I drive. My wife has a '05 Ponitiac GTO. I normally treat myself on "casual" fridays and drive her car. It has a 6.0 liter (corvette engine) in it and goes 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. Actually it is a bit unusaul because it is completely assembled in australia. Thanks Kylie for the fun car.

Has Pontiac always made GTO's or did they take a few years off? I remember those cars in the 70's and those babies would mooove not to mention that they looked pretty bad

Actually, the GTO was Engineered by no one but DeLorien (sp?), if I'm not mistaken...I don't recall the GTO (also known as the "Goat"), being in production for so many years, I think it was the same history as Chrysler' Dodge Charger, several years off market, then some twenty years or so. TOTALLY redesigned!!

why on earth would you want to trade in a civic for a jeep? darn people and their obsession with big cars.

Kybert, you made me laugh. Gas prices, insurance, and no car payment is why I haven't traded it in. I'll prolly keep my civic until it dies on me. Everyone tells me I am crazy for wanting to trade my civic.

I drive a '99 oldsmobile alero. Two door and updated rims. My dad made it cool for my sister and I and gave it to us halfway between both of our 17th birthdays. My sister now drives a '00 volkswagon jetta and I got the oldsmobile. I love the alero, it goes fast when I need to and I feel safe in it although it guzzles gas.
