What part of your lung is affected by cf?

lower left lobe. fortunately my xrays haven't changed much since I was 9-so no big damage since then.

Pretty much every area of my lungs are affected by CF. My docs have told me that the lower lobes are not AS damaged as the upper lobes though.
As for "problem" areas - My left lung mainly in the upper portion and occasionally the middle area as well have always been a problem. Most of my infections originate in that area.

Lower Left Lobe
Everytime I'm sick, I get such pain down there. Plus, it crackles the minute I get sick. Although, I would say each of my lungs are affected. It's CF. Yes, one part of a lung might bother me more, but it's still CF.

My upper right lobe has been the biggest problem and the lower lobes are a little bit better than anywhere else. My doctor had talked about removing my upper right lobe if it became a serious issue and was causing my exacerbations however he is also hesitant to do that because he says when it comes time to have a transplant it would be better if everything was still there and in contact and hadn't already been messed with.
