Can you tell me your doctor's reasoning to putting you on continuous tobi. Is resistance not as big of a problem with inhaled antibiotics as with IVs?

It tastes like banana. Does she like bananas?

Bananas maskchlorophylltaste.

Don't give up on this.... your child is counting on you!

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote><i>Originally posted by: <b>Incomudrox</b></i> There is a lot of research suggestion Phytochemical (green smoothies are loaded with) can potentiate CFTR to some extent so you are doing a lot of stuff with them, not to mention it's healthy.</end quote>

I would have NEVER believed this years ago. Never.
I basically grew up on sugar and nothing healthy and I didn't want to THINK of changing my diet.

But boy, does it make a difference.

And if you're worried about resistance, make sure you are supplementing a LOT with chilated magnesium. I have see differences in resistance on my PA.

any antibiotic exposure (in the chicken you eat, in the milk you drink, in your nebbs or in your veins) can increase resistance.

I'm going to whole foods tomorrow to pick up the stuff for that smoothie. I told her about it and she sounds pretty excited. Should I just follow the recipe on your blog or do you have other suggestions for ingredients? Does she have to take enzymes with it to absorb the nutrients?

I use cayston and tobi. Three weeks of tobi and 4 weeks of cayston. I use to do tobi for a month, casyton for a month, but that last week of tobi i feel crappy. I used colisitin a couple of years about but i think it stopped working for me or stopped working as good as it use too.

On a note of resistant, i know everyone is different, but my germs say i'm resistant to tobramycin but for some reason it always works. I'm 29 years old and have used tobramycin in all my "tune up sessions" for the last 13 years, every 6 months.

I use cayston and it is great. It's super easy to use(less than five minutes with the special nebulizer). It has been the perfect solution for being off tobi, and it is super easy to get through the CF Services Pharmacy which works with a ton of insurance companies and will work with yours if they don't already
