My treatment I dont think would be different, but other things that affect my health would be. Certain things in my home would be changed that we just cant handle financially now or ever (LOL)......My weight wouldnt be as much of an issue because my food intake would increase just not having to do the shopping or the cooking! I LIKE THAT IDEA!! Only do it when I WANT to! AHHHHH!

If we had been really really rich, I would have been able to quit work (and thereby not have to work-related insurance) and be fulltime spouse and advocate for my husband. I am sure that would have made a difference. We could have afforded better home-based and rehab and spa-like vacations (private airflights with oxygen, PCAs) etc.
His quality of life would have been much better and I believe his health itself would have been better.

I think my health would be a little better if I were rich. If I was rich, then I wouldn't have to work and I could spend more time at home doing my treatments and I would also have time to join a gym, so therefore, I could excercise. I don't exercise hardly any and I pretty sure that would help me alot. So far, I haven't had any problem getting any of my medicine.

I think my health would be a little better, but I don't contribute it all to money. I know I would definitely have less stress which I think contributes alot to my health an well being. I wouldn't worry so much about having the money for things and I would get a massage more often than I do now to help with the back/shoulder/neck muscle pain I get from coughing and such.
I would also have a place of my own without all the clutter and that way there would be fewer places for allergens to hide. I would mainly focus on buying things more frequently and replacing things like sheets and air filters more often than I can afford to now.

I dont think my health would be any different. I get the the meds/machines I need without a problem. I would just upgrade to a bigger house and furnish the house with nice things.

I wouldn't even really want a lifetime of riches or money. We have learned to live on very little because we can't Gross more than $3200 (not bring home) in order for my son to stay on disabilty and have medicaid. Lord knows I can't afford his medicine especilly pulmozyne and tobi. I just would like enough money to buy us a bigger place and it be completly paid for to live so my son could have his own room. There is 5 of us in our family and we live in small 3 bedroom single wide. A four bedroom double wide would be nice. I would like to once be able to afford a new vehicle that was completly paid for. Maybe a little money in the bank for emergency trips to the hospital and that would be all I need. I wouldn't mind having to continue to work. My job is very understanding of any time I need to take off for my son and I only work partime. Those would be two less bills and it would make things better for me and my family. That would be all that I would like except to maybe have my son live long enough to find a cure. Till then we live happily and do the best we can to get by. Smile and be grateful for the time we have is my motto.

I know I would be healthier if I were rich. I would get a vest, I would buy new updated equipment to use, I could get the house of my dreams with no carpet, central air, air purifiers, etc. And I also wouldn't be stressed out for lack of money because I don't work.

I think that my two daughters health would be the same because we are blessed with good insurance. But that insurance is through my work. So, therefore, if we were rich, I would be staying home with my children and not working in order to keep the great health insurance coverage!

I meant to say that my daughters health would be different because we are blessed with great insurance, not the same.
Sorry, I should had proof read my reply.

DH and I always talk about this when we pick up a lottery ticket. Don't the lottery gods realize that if we won big money we'd donate a significant amount for CF research, our hospital/clinic....

Probably build a bigger home with mancave for DH and big playroom (gymnasium)for DS. Share the wealth with our families. Travel.

Being richer would change things, of course it would, we would be
lying if we said it wouldn't. Sure it would improve our lives, but
as the Beatles sang "All you need is love".
The pathology of our disease would be the same, only it is highly likely we could retard or arrest the process of the disease better.

I tell my wife when she worries and is down on herself for our not being able to afford some healthcare, I tell her that if we had $10 Million, eventually the disease would win. This is what it does and is designed to do.

But having endless funds to manage the disease and live a financially stress free life, i beleive would contribute greatly to sustaining prolonged health.

Thanks.

I would do better I think. I would have the money for personal trainers, dieticians and my own personal chef if I was really rich!!
I also would give to other CFs that struggle financially and close friends w/o CF that struggle. I suppose in light of this that I wouldn't be rich for long

We all know stress can cause health problems, or make them worse,
so would being rich be less stressful? I think it would be, since
money problems are one of the major things most people stress
about. Plus I could buy all sorts of air purifiers or the newest
medical equipment or a housekeeper to keep my home sparkling clean,
all the time. (good luck with a tot running around!)

One time I heard Boomer Esiason speak about his son and life with CF( he was great by the way). He never brings his son to the hospital for clean outs, they have private nurses and pt people at the house. I think he is home taught as well.
