What would you do?

Bonnie,

Yes, I do intend to wait until next year because of my FEV1, and because I was on the pill for the past 5 months. It would probably take a couple cycles to be 'normal' anyway.

Yes, I do feel the clock is ticking faster for me because my Mom went through menopause at 35!!! And yes, I have been through some 'labor'. LOL!!!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

This is something I am planning on 'making up my mind' on by March.

Maybe you could wait until the boys are in school to make a decision - it's only a month away. Then you could get a better idea of how much energy will really be required.

I do remember you story about foster adopt, and it is so frustrating! How sad for everyone involved it they lived with you for 4-5 years only to be removed from their home to live with a (practically) stranger. I am frustrated for you!

I know you feel the clock ticking (as do I), but you do have some time...although I completely understand we are not only facing the face against the biological clock, but also the "FEV1 clock." Maybe you could talk to your CF doctor about it too?

Kristen,

I'm waiting to makeup my mind (fost/adopt, adopt, or natural) for at least a few months. I FINALLY got all the signed school paperwork yesterday to submit to the school. They will be starting after Thanksgiving, 3 mornings a week. In the meantime, I am STILL working on my FEV1. No real decisions will be made for awhile.

According to our caseworker, Mom will be moving in with her Mom so she MAY have an easier time getting them back IF she starts 'cleaning up her act'. Her Mom will help her. Their Mom IS still looking at jail time, but I wouldn't be surprised if she gets 'off the hook'. Nothing really surprises me anymore...
