I've been thinking with all this deal or no deal talk, and wondering about people's causes aside from CF. If you got a million dollars to give to any charity or organization, NON CF related, not CF related at all, What would it be? You can only give it to one charity, and can't keep it for yourself.

Just curious...

that's a really good ? for me personally , i would like to stop all child abuse, physical and sexual. but i think it's impossible. way too many pervs out there unfortunately!

OH that would be so hard to decide......It would definitely go towards something to help with child & animal abuse as well as giving to someone who cant normally get what they would dream of like what Make A Wish dose etc. IN addition I would want a scholarship fund named after me (yes I like to hear my name)! I will have to think more about it!

okay, guys ONE organization, and you can't create one Melissa lol. Mine would be the hospice group around here, they're fantastic.

For me, I would have to say the March of Dimes.... It's such a realization to think that charities and causes don't really phase the world unless it is osmething that personally affects you. That being said, with the potential of us having premature babies, I really feel for and want to support the work that the March of Dimes does for preemie research and support of families with preemies.

So for me, The March of dimes.

I would give to local humane socities around here. They dont get much funding and mostly depend on donations. Often they have to put down animals since they dont have the funding to take care of them <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

I don't know the name of it, but there is a group that takes kids that are handicapped or ill out hunting and fishing. I have seen it on T.V. and they go all out to give the kids something they may have never experienced. They also had a fishing tourament where B.A.S.S anglers took a kid with them.

Child Life (the organization at my hospital that keeps movies and games etc. and tutors and computers and all that stuff at the hospital for the kids) i would have gone nutso there without them.
