What's the deal here?

As Night said, it sounds more like inflammation to me as well. If I am not doing my advair or douneb, I feel horrible, sound wheezy, yet still don't cough much up. All the irritation from the disease will cause a lot of inflammation, so bronchiodialators and anti-inflammatory drugs do wonders for us cfers.

Thanks, Kristoffer. I totally agree I NEED my bronchodialators and advair! I realize inflammation kinda goes hand in hand with the disease. Its still a pain in the behind though... LOL! It seems more elusive to treat, too. I'm on my 4th day of 40 mg prednisone and its not clearing up. At least when its a run-over clean-out time, I can kinda FEEL that. This just feels like I'm breathing funny and LOUDLY. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0">

something new and exciting has also come up the past couple of days... i've actually been experiencing severe crackling sounds in my lower left lobes (that is where it sounds like its coming from) every time i exhale when i lay on my left side. its driving me nuts. i cough a few times and it clears just long enough for me to get comfortable and then within a few minutes its crackling again. ???????

also, i think i thought i was hearing wheezing, but instead i am hearing crackling sounds in my throat/upper airways.

what gives???

Hi- I know this thread is a little old, but I was wondering what happened Ladybug to the crackles? This is happening to me right now and it's so frustrating. I've been on 40 mgs of prednisone for 11 days? Just wondering if it cleared up, or if I should call my dr. about a possible infection. Thanks!
