When are you getting Flu shots?

I was just curious as to when most of you are getting your flu shots this year. I called the CF Clinic to ask a question and while talking to the nurse I asked her when they were giving flu shots. She said probably not til mid to late October. But she said that one of the docs would give it tomorrow if he had it available to him and the other doctor likes to wiat til mid Oct.

I am getting my flu shot at my husbands place of employment on Sept 22nd. So thats why I asked the clinic.

I got DS' on Wednesday and ran into a friend who'd gotten hers the day before and her daughters were also getting them this week. I'm getting mine next week.

Emily will be getting hers as soon as the injectable is available. Her ped doesn't have it yet. She has a CF appt next month, so if Children's gets it first, she'll get it at her clinic appt, but her ped is hopeful that it will be in any time. Immunity from the shot lasts longer than many people realize... you can get it early and it will protect you well into the spring so no reason to wait in the fall to get it.

I got mine Sept. 6th this year.

I missed out last year. I waited too long
and every place I called around here was Out.

I even tried the Health Dept. they kept saying
they were going to get a new batch, but never did.

I was at clinic today for my annual and my doc wanted me to get it but they haven't gotten any yet so I will be getting my flu shot and my pneumo vaccine when I go back in a month.
