Our ped's office called this week to schedule our kids for their h1n1. They are calling all the families of kids w/ higher risk kids first to give them a heads up that it's available before opening it to the general practice. However, the only one that has actually arrived is the FluMist so the boys will get theirs first next week (they've started giving them this week, but the boys have to wait till it's been long enough after their seasonal vax.) Emily has to wait until the injectable arrives- which they hope will be by the last week of October. She can get it as soon as it's available, since she got her seasonal a long time ago.
Liza: due to 'vaccine supply shortage' they have stopped scheduling seasonal vaccines 'until further notice.' Fortunately all my kids got theirs early! My dh and I are supposed to get ours from our pcp on Monday; if they don't have any we'll try out the various walk-in places that offer them for $30 or whatever until we find someone who has them.
