Where is the money going?

Many of us have just completed our Great Stides fundraisers - and luckily many of us participated and raised a bit of money (maybe next year we can create a "site" total....see how much we raise as a group!).

But where is that money going?

Check this out.....

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.cff.org/research/ClinicalResearch/Find/?IDS=1&SearchAll=1

There are so many clinical trials going on that cost millions of dollars.... and your hard earned money / hard fundraised money is going to push these drugs through the pipeline.

This link might be something good to share with those who contributed to your fundraising campaign so they can tangibly see what their dollars are doing....

We just went to a CF ball in Sydney on Sat night and it was awesome. I'm not exactly sure what the total amount raised was but it would of been well over
$200 000. The tickets alone cost hubby and i $400 and lots of raffles and auctions that were held on the night contributed eg one item out of over 100 was a painting that sold for $15 000 alone.
It was a great night for a great cause

Also last week a mother whom i have met due to both our chn having CF held a ladies lunch on 65 roses day that i and 165 other women attended at a local expensive rest and raised just over $10 000.

Alomst all of the money is going towards research and support

Thanks for the link - I do find that very interesting and educational to read about all the clinical studies - however, I wish that there were a posting of the actual monetary amount that is being funneled to each program. I didn't see that posted on the website, perhaps I missed it.

Thats interesting Amy but I noticed that PTC 124 wasnt on there, wonder why? Its in phase II now I think, I would think that it would be on there, wouldnt you?

Also I think the Drug pipeline page would be excellent to show others that helped donate to Great Strides, so they can see what they're money is going for also. It would kind of give them a visual, I think.
