Hello....
I'm just curious where everyone's adult CF clinic is? Is it accredited? What do you think of the care? What do you like or dislike about it?
I'm trying to choose between a handful of clinics (I don't like mine, and prefer not to say where it is located, but its NOT accredited), and got to thinking that it would be interesting if we'd all share our experiences so we could see what different clinics treat CFers like....

I go to St. Vincents Hospital & Medical Center in Manhatten. They have the adults & peds together & I love it. They are accredited & actually moved from Columbia Prebeterian when I first started going about 30 years ago.

Vanderbilt Adult CF Clinic. It's pretty good, and they say the childrens cf clinic there is even better. Only thing is, I see a different doc almost every time. That gets on my nerves.

My clinic is in Salt Lake City Utah and I really like it there. It is accredited also. They have a great team and I really do like both of the doctors.

Hey Spicyone, my son also goes to the CF clinic at children's. We love it! He usually sees Dr. Prestidge (he's the most amazing doctor on the planet!). My son has a crush on Daisy.

I go to Med College of Va - excellent care. Good education for the patient. I like that - I understand more with education.

I got to Hanheman (which I never remember how to spell) in Philadelphia. I really like it there. The nutritionist is the first nutritionist I have ever liked!

I go to the adult clinic at the University of Washington in Seattle. They're awesome. They only have 3 docs so everybody knows everybody. They are accredited and they deserve it. They really stay on top of my nutrition, exercise, lung function, arthritis, bone density....everything. Before the adult clinic I went to Children's Hospital is Seattle. They're good too. In fact they are considered one of the best centers in the country.

My son receives his care with Dr. Henry Dorkin at Mass General in Boston. They are great! Monica Ulles is fantastic!! Can't say enough nice things about them both (and the rest of the clinic staff...). Paula

I go to Morristown Memorial Hospital in NJ.. I just switched there and I am so, so, happy with them.. They whole team is really nice. I have had the most interaction with the nurse Paula... She is truly and angel from God..

I just started culturing MRSA which really brought up a ton of issues with work and school..(because I am in nursing.).. My nurse has gone to bat for me like she was fighting for herself or her own kid.....I have called her and she talks to me right away, she answers my emails extremly promptly. I needed something faxed over for my work and school, she stopped what she was doing and did it...

Dr Fiel is wonderful I only met him once but he has a wonderful sense of humor.. I believe he and Paula have been a team for adult CFers for close to 20 years..

The Social worker and Nutritonist have been great as well. They sent me material on ways to save money with my meds and also are helping me to lose weight....

If you live anywhere near there in NJ, I would one zillion percent recommend them... I have never felt so supported by any team of doctors and I really love my primary doctor and never thought I would switch from him ever.... It is like there only goal in life is to keep me healthy and going...

**Jennifer, I was just wondering what Addison's is? Does it cause weight gain? Or why do you want to lose weight? I want to lose weight too, so I was just curious.

I go to the clinic at St. Joe Hospital in South bend Indiana. I hate going there, which has nothing to do with the staff, they all all great - though the dietician and social workers change regularly. I like the adult doc - he and I seem to see eye to eye on a lot of issues- I just don't like clinic visits. I think they take too long, and they are only every other friday from like 9-1, so I have to take off work, no matter what.

Sorry, i digressed a few times in this post.
