Where to get new compressor Mobilaire?

I have been debating getting a Mobilaire compressor; The Pari just doesn't cut it; It died after just another 2 months of use; having been replaced maybe 2 months before that. It's awful. Luckily I have a generic type back up. I had called around to a couple medical supply stores but they do not carry the Mobilaire compressor. So my choices are online? Should I just chance it and go for it and private pay online or try to get a script for the CF doc sent somewhere? So frustrating!!!

I guess I am looking for a recommendation for a reliable DME online company that has the Mobilaire compressor.

I got mine online, my mom did it i think from medsupplies.com or something like that. Everything worked out as far as getting the machine, we sent the receipt to insurance but are waiting, its the first compressor ive ever had to try to get reimbursedso not sure how it will work out.

They did forget my intake filter so we called mobilaire and they said if the company didnt send it, they would but with a phone call it was sent out.

I have been inquiring about getting one, but was told that insurance would probably reject it because it is not necessary to have a 50psi compressor and it costs quite a bit more than the Pari or Pulmoaide.

I've ordered other compressors online -- pari & devilbiss with no issues. I think I ordered some filters from allegro medical and JRS Medical without any problem.

I have spent some time on the phone today with our health insurance, they gave me a list of local medical supply stores all of which do not carry the Mobilaire. One company was sweet and the girl said she was going to research this out for as they do carry some Invacare products, maybe they could special order it for me. I am waiting for a call back. Really if she can't get it I might as well just order it online. So silly; the insurance will only cover 80% of the purchase anyway.

Banging my head against they wall about this as the meds she nebs cost thousands of dollars but they won't cover a measly $300 to neb the meds in a timely manner with a machine that doesn;t break down all the time.

Not worth getting upset over; just silliness if you ask me.

I wonder how much it will cost and how much insurance will cover.

Our local DME won't carry Pari compressors, which is weird. When DS was a baby we got our original Pari from a well known DME provider in the City and our insurance was charged $365 for a proneb ultra that I later found online for less thatn $100. In fact I purchased a spare devilbiss pulmoaide and paid for it outright instead of dealing with our in-network DME that only had some off brand available.

Well, If I order the Mobilaire special order through our insurance we have to wait til our deductible is met and then still pay $225(or something like that). I just ordered it online for about $275 for DME medical supply group; hopefully will be here in 2-5 days. $50 savings through insurance just not worth the aggravation.

Now this machine better work well<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Still have our Pari being replaced for back up.

8 nebs a day is just too many right now; anything to shorten the time.
