{" . . . One thing that would make things less confusing when the moderators do step in & decide to delete things is if they would just edit the post to remove the offensive words, or heck, just lock the thread if it is all out of line, but not delete a single reply, or a whole thread (so it appears that nothing ever happened).
It is confusing when you see dialogue in a thread that refers to something that was said, you search intently for that "something" that was said, but to no avail, because *poof*, it has disappeared.
Or, when you're sure you saw a thread an hour ago & search & search & can't find it, then wonder if you're loosing your marbles or something and just imagining it was there in the first place.
Just an idea.... "}
I was not aware that the whole thread asking Fred to come back had been deleted, and not just locked. What is the basis for this? I totally understand that it is up to Jeanne's discretion to monitor and decide what is best for the forum, but what the heck! Do cetain people have more "pull" here on the site? Why would that thread be pulled, as opposed to other threads that are allowed to stay up? Why not just locked?
I totally agree with Lynda--I too have felt like I've gone crazy looking for a thread, and then find out that it had been pulled. Guess the only recourse is to save it yourself. . .
