Hi!
I'm just curios to see if anyone knows which/how many states test for CF at birth? I keep reading all these stories about people struggling to find out what is wrong with their kids. I'm realizing more each day to see how fortunate we are that PA tests automatically.

As far as I know Texas does not require newborn screenings... it is up to the hospital. The kicker is... Texas has the third highest population of CFers. Legislation passed a bill requiring screening a few years ago (it included a number of diseases and disorders) the only one that missed out on funding was CF. What a shame... I am so proud to be a Texan but they definately missed the boat on this one.
