Wii Fit

I have the WiiFit too and I LOVE IT!!! It's too hot outside to do anything (live in FL) and the gyms are too germy plus I feel self conscious about using my 02. Pulmonary Rehab only meets 2 times a week and very early....not a morning person. So the WiiFit is perfect for me. It is fun and has goals and the more you do, the more new things you unlock. It keeps track of how much you do every time you use it and shows it on a graph. It will even give you your weight and Body Mass Index (BMI). It has Yoga ,which is good for stretching. The aerobics is good to get your heart rate up and build stamina, like hoola hoops, walking or jogging on an island, boxing, etc. The Strength Training (I think it's called) is heavy stuff that really uses and builds muscles everywhere. My favorite though it the Balance Games! You can hit soccor balls with your head, ski down slops, guide balls different platforms into holes, walk in a bubble through a stream, tightrope walk, etc... It's even fun to have others do so you can compete to get the highest score. It's actually got my boyfriend doing something now, hehe. I highly recommend it for EVERYONE! This is something most people of all ages can do. I have 30% lung function and I am even able to do all of it! I just can't go as long as most people can. Get it before Christmas though b/c it will be near impossible to find! They are already hard to find as is!

While in the hospital I have used the Wii System. I have tried Tennis, Bowling (average is 193 ) & Boxing. I also did the Wii Fit. The Wii Fit was challenging for me.

Evidentally I am not as stable on my feet as I thought according to it. I did a few things. I avoided Yoga because thats not my thing, but did balance & centering my body through different activities.

I highly recommend it. Granted that our clinic has many many games for it where as when you get one at home you have to buy them as you can afford them, but I already requested one for Christmas.

We have a Wii Fit and absolutely love it!! It's so much fun and you really don't even feel like you are "working out." I personally like the running and cardio stuff. It's definitely worth it if you can find one. I know they are kind of hard to come by, luckily my husband found one the day they were released.

I got my WII Sport so far. Hubby requested Blockbuster to hold one from their next order which is what he will do for the WII Fit also.

Evidentally they are difficult to come by.

Love all of it tho. Easy exercise, but definitely worthwhile especially for those not use to exercise or having an exacerbation.
