Wii Fitness

I have heard that the Wii Fitness is a lot of fun and good exercise. Does anybody have it? What do you think of it? What type of exercises does it have and does it seem beneficial for CFers? Just wanted to get more of an idea about it before I spent $90 on it.

Also, how about the Wii Outdoors? Same questions.

I highly recommend it. I first used it while in the hospital on 02 & quite deconditioned. I enjoyed it so much my husband got me one for home.

The wii comes with a lot in its basic package & then we got some other programs.

What is nice about it is that no matter how lousy you are feeling.....you can do just about all of it. Maybe not as well as when you are better, but still you can be active.

My hubby & daughter do it with me. We just tried it again tonite.

WARNING be careful of the WII Arm, Legs & Butt which comes from using muscles you didnt even know you had LOL!

Are you just talking about the Wii in general? I already have the Wii, but I'm just curious about the Wii games--Fitness and Outdoors. The boxing on the sports package is great exercise, too. I was huffing and puffing. I must be really out of shape, because I read on here people running and having FEV1s of 50. My FEV1 is 72 and I was afraid to play dodgeball at school today, because I thought it would make me start coughing and SOB.

I have the Wii Fit and the Outdoor Challenge. I like both of them. The Wii fit has 4 different categories (yoga, strength, aerobics, and balance games). There are several exercises in each category; stretches, side leg lifts, push-ups, sit-ups, hula-hoop, running, boxing exercise, et., and then the balance games. The Outdoor Challenge is fun too. You can actually do it with a partner. Me personally, I think the Outdoor Challenge is a little bit more physical than the Wii Fit. There is quite a bit to it to go into every detail, but there is a lot of jumping, running, a few that work your arms, etc. It does take a lot out of you though. I actually did it tonight, but couldn't do as much as I wanted cause my breathing wasn't so great tonight.

Hope that helps you a little bit. I would recommend it.
