I know it's been nearly a year since Allen passed..
But I came across this and thought you all might be interested in it.
I quite honestly didn't know that Allen started this, or was popular enough to warrant a wikipedia article... but I thought it deserved a mention.

I had no idea Allan started that site. I used to always enjoy his quotes in his sig on here.

Awww, I miss Allen. He had such a quick wit and a way with words. I can't believe he has been gone this long already. Wow. He is surely missed by many.

Thanks for posting this, Candice. It made my day. I didn't know there was a Wiki page about FStDT.

I tried to edit that page slightly because they mispelled his name as Allen when it actually was Allan. Hopefully it worked.

I see it rightfully credits me with distracting him from that webpage, too. Haha. When we first met online, the only thing I knew about him was that he was the creator of Fundies Say the Darndest Things. I figured he must have been some sort of masochist to wade through all those stupid quotes each month. I did commend him, though... I couldn't even read halfway through a month's issue without getting a headache.

My first attempt at flirting with Allan was by threatening him with a candiru catfish from his [S=http://www.fstdt.com/winace/de...organisms/index.htm[/S]https://<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://]http://www.fstdt.com/winace/designed_organisms/index.htm">Organisms that Look Designed </a>[/S] page. I never claimed to be good at flirting.

Allan could always make me laugh--it would have been impossible not to love him. My Allan was brilliant. I had a hard time believing he was only 19 when I met him, and was even more astonished when I learned that he didn't even speak English until he was about 12 or so. His way of communicating was so pure, I swear I almost loved him right away.

He saw humor in every situation, and was so sweet and loving. I'm not sure if many on this site got to see that side of him unless they chatted with him personally--I know that many of his posts here were argumentative.

I can't believe he's been gone almost a year.

i also miss seeing Alans posts, he had such a way about him. I was very sad when he started taking a turn for the worse. I am sure he is missed by a LOT of people on here. Im glad you are still on board with us Jess <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Jess It is so nice to see you posting. You know you are always welcome here. Even when Allan argued, he had a sense of humor I think that is why we all loved him so much.
