Wire left in some patients receving a PIC line

Got it done locally here today, will find out in a couple of days. He was xrayed after they inserted the PIC line so I am not too worried about anything being there - but still.

Doesnt the wire itself get measured just like the line does when its removed? Just to make sure its all out?
