@Cindy, not having period when sick makes sense to me, because they say your body will typically allow it to get pregnant when its healthy enough to do it. So your body might shut down that process just to ensure you dont get pregnant...

When I was younger my periods were always irregular. Id miss a month or two at a time and then itd come back, or itd be twice in a month. Sometimes they were long, sometimes short, but never really a difference in flow. That all stopped though because I went on birth control, now its pretty much clockwork. Its soo consistant, Im able to say what hours it starts on what day. And the flow is about the same as before though it only lasts about 4-5 days.
