Toronto General Hospital is where I had my double lung transplant done. They did the first double lung transplant ever over thirty years ago, and continue to be one of the pioneers when it comes to new and innovative organ transplant techniques.

Dr. Keshavjee is in charge of the lung transplantation program there, and he has five other thoracic surgeons working with him.

In fact, another patient and I had simultaneous double lung transplants on the same night in adjacent operating rooms.
