Words from One CF Mom to Others

Hi everyone,

I debated on whether or not to post this here, and I hope no one feels that it's inappropriate, but my mother wrote what I think is a FABULOUS guest post on my blog about her experience as a CF mom for 28+ years and all those dreaded "CF Milestones." I just wanted to post the link in case anyone from our wonderful community might benefit from her words, or even just enjoy reading them. And please, if you get a chance to pop over there, consider writing her a quick comment. She has been through so much with me these past couple of years fghting CF, and I know she'd love to hear from you!

Just guessing that I need to find a box of tissues first....but I'm on my way to read it. I will say she raised a heck of a daughter, IMHO.

Oh sweet Piper,
I loved reading the story from your mom. Of course I have used up a box of tissues. I didn't stop there, I cont. with all your other experience's , and I admire your honesty so much. Just the other day I read your responce about #s (PFT's) on one of the post on this site. It's so true with what you said, you can do everything right , and still end up on the tx list. What I admired so much , is that it doesn't mean you didn't do everything right , it's just this disease.

You will be in my heart every min. also your family. I'm happy your friend got her new lungs. I can't wait till you get yours.

I love your little dog. We just lost our beautiful golden retriever a few weeks ago. Makailyn and myself have shed many tears, missing him. She knows he's in heaven helping with all the puppys, and that Jesus needed him there more than him being here with us, and we will see him again.

Like you said , your father says, no matter what , there will always be a happy ending, regardless the outcome ! I guess what I'm trying to say is that I have learned so much from you. I know talking about Rocky going to heaven has nothing to do with CF. I know and Makailyn knows ,we will see him again and he is needed elesewhere, and that has given her some peace. Your father is a very wise man, and we have chosen to choose the happy ending.

I love with the way you tell us to talk about anything, and when I am as like right now ,I feel like I am looking right at you, even though you are miles away.

Thank you for being Piper,,,, and being there for all of us .....If you need anything , I will find a way to be there are get it to you,,,,,I promise!!!!!!!
I'll talk to you soon,,,,, Karla <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">
