I picked these up at a CF conference last year. Would anyone like them?

"CF from the inside out" by Novartis (TOBI)
an educational booklet with cut-away anatomical illustrations.

I would be happy to send them if anyone is interested!

Its yours Karla! To be clear though, it is a 6 page booklet with fold out pages. It is very well illustrated. Glad you can use it-I'll send it out today.

Its yours Karla! To be clear though, it is a 6 page booklet with fold out pages. It is very well illustrated. Glad you can use it-I'll send it out today.

I really like that TOBI booklet! I picked one up the last time the Novartis rep was at a CF Ed night, and there were two more tucked inside some insulated backpacks that they gave us last clinic visit.

I tucked them away, figuring that we can cut them up and make a kick-butt science project someday!! LOL!

Which makes me so mad at our CF Clinic. I would love to know more. Because I have always wondered ,,, Why would they not have something to teach you and prepare you on this horrid disease......Thankyou for bringing that up,,,,,,,,,,Karla

Our center has about 3-4 CF Ed nights a year. The topics vary. Some are more geared for parents, and others, like the last one, were for adolescent CF'ers and parents. Sometimes the center staff are the preseters, and other times they bring in speakers. One of the best ones I attended was a panel discussion with memebers from 4 or 5 CF families, with cf'ers of all ages. They each shared insights, and then audience members were free to ask questions. It was very imforative and reassuring at the same time.

Usually a light dinner is provided, and there is time set aside to talk to other cf parents. Standard precautions are taken to prevent 2 cf'ers from coming into close contact. Center staff help to seat people in specific areas, masks and sanitizer are available.

I would request that your center start something like this. They are usually a great experience for me!
