Thanks Eva. I know about the CSHCN program here in TX, but I am over the income limit now. I did get some Rx assistance from the drug manufacturers for a couple months before this new insurance kicked in. This insurance - even though the premium is high - has low copays for meds which is really my biggest out-of-pocket expense. Yes. I take Zantac every night and Prevacid every morning. I have really bad reflux problems - in case you couldn't tell. You could try other enzymes and see if they help, but if taking the Zantac helps, you might just try taking it regularly and see if that heads off the problems. If you keep having problems intermittently or they come back after a few weeks, you might try a new enzyme or a different antacid roa different dose. That's the tricky thing with CF, the problem could be so many things!

I hadn't really thought about the Electric bills, but you're right (whoever said that). Running A/C all the time in hot weather to keep cool is tremendously expensive and then with our lack of body fat, running the heater all the time in cold weather! $$$$$$$$$$!

This thread got me thinking, and I wound up making a list of CF-related costs for this year. Basically, the total for everything I could think of (and I'm sure I didn't think of EVERYTHING, and might be off on some things) was $10,300. That's a LOT of money.

Hi everyone

I just wanted to say a huge THANKS!!! It was very nice of everyone to help me with this! I have to say the seeing the ages of the posters to these boards makes me want to work harder at raising money for research! I wish everyone the best and thanks again!
