Writing Ideas (Autobiography?)

I figured I'd post this question in a CF related section, and figure the most appropriate would be the adult section.
Anyway, I was curious as to what feedback I could get if I were to write an autobiography of my (already) 12 years of living in Japan (and maybe a little ahead to explain why I'm here in the first place).
Despite the fact that everyone has an interesting story of their own to tell (Maybe if everyone did do an autobiography, we could make it into an "autobiography collection of CF'rs" to publish), my situation, I'm sure, is quite unique (maybe "unusual" is a better term).
This thought came up a few times already, once was my last time in the States when my mom had suggested it, and the second was when I was thinking on what to write for my bio for the "Classmates.com" home page (I'm looking for info relating to any class reunions!).
So, any and all comments, ideas, or thoughts are welcome. (If any criticisms, please be constructive!)
Thanks!
Fred

I think it could be interesting, of course. You should go ahead and try to do it, because you already have the most important motivation, which is wanting to do it. I have always been curious about Japan and it is a country i would much consider visiting or getting to know a bit more about. Good luck <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I think there's a lot of people on here, you included , whose story I would want to read. I always said if I wrote anything for mass reeading, it would more than likely be about Ry and I. Cf usually makes for a good story. Go ahead and start if you feel inspired!

I really appreciate the feedback, so far.
As part of the biography, I was going to include some memoirs I have collected about 5 or so years ago, as part of what kind of marriage I was going through. Yes, it is sad, but I consider it as pertinent as having some sort of "antagonist" in my life. Besides that, there are some health-wise portions of my life hear that wasn't ALL dandy, but some parts had their "ups".
Of course, in other areas, I intend to add anectdotes; esp. regarding Japan and how it affects me, for those readers who are interested in hearing about Japan.
Allie, if you ever find the time, motivation, and ways to publish some of Ry's writing, etc. I would also like to read them. I still recall some of the stories, like the one you presented about the three different ships to sail on.
I guess that since I'm at a job which entails sentence structure, etc., I hope it'll give me a chance for better writing, though the rules of technical writing does not include personal styles (or any humor), cause it's only explaining how something works! (sort of a bummer!)
Of course, next question would be, say, if I condensed it enough, and completed it with, say, in a year, would it be worth posting on the forum...

I say go for it. I have had so many people tell me to write a bio b/c of my cf, and other experiences. I haven't but I'm seriously considering it.
If anything, it'll be therapeutic for you, and a great self-journey. And, possibly a good story for many others.

I think it would be great to show pictures of your exercise moves and for a person with CF who lived a life in Japan would be a fascinating read. I do not think that any one book that is written about CF will sell to a large audience unless you were a famous person. I think if you could write a short story this website would put it up. You can always write a short story first and see how you feel after the fact to see if you want to continue writing. I personally think reading a book about survivors of illnesses is fascinating and I would buy a book like this.

Hey, miesl, 'was ap?
It was probably about 10 am Friday when you posted at 6 pm (Thursday). Depending on where everyone lives, I'm between 14 and 19 (19 is for those in Hawaii!) hours ahead (give or take an hour for daylight savings)
Any suggestions, Risa for me to becoming famous?? (Not INFAMOUS, I've already established that!)
Well, I gotta get back to work, again! I'm checking instruction manuals written in Polish!! Monday is German, and Tuesday is probably Norwegian!! (Last Tuesday was Russian!! Wow, how exhausting!)
