Opinions aside this can be a hard thing to deal with. I remember my mom didn't always do what the doctor said because she felt that sometimes she knew better. I also remember when I figured out that she was "lying" and how mad I got because "doctors knew everything". Mind you, I was a snot.

It's hard when they get to that age where they realize everything you do. Good luck<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I just want to respond again about telling the doctor. For years I "fibbed" about my compliance to my doctors. My current doctor learned real fast how to read me & when to call my bluff. She knows that when her patients say they are completely compliant that they are probably lying. Not that they arent compliant, but chances of someone being 100% all the time isnt realistic usually. I get the eye & the "you know" speech, but they learned that lecturing is not a benefit to any of us. I also learned that telling the truth helps a lot with my care because they have a better picture!
