Xolair...

Hi all,

My docs is trying to get my insurance company to pay for Xolair. From some other people's comments, it seems there is a min. IgE for Xolair. Mine is only 385, which, in my experience, is not all that high. When I was having problems w/aspergillus, my IgE was like 1700. So, I was wondering what people who are on Xolair's IgE levels are.

Thanks!

Here is an IGE/Xolair dose chart and other interesting info. You have to meet several criteria, but IGE won't be an issue for you as the minimum is 30.

I think when I started mine was around 1200? I dont even know I jsut remember that number for some reason but Ive been on this shot for over a year now and I feel great!

It really really helps me detect what is acting up whether it is my CF or my asthma symptoms so I can react as quickly as possible. I also have eczema on my elbows, knees, and hands and that hasnt shown its face since a few months after starting Xolair.

I am crossing my fingers that you are going to be able to receive this treatment! It may work for you in the long run. My advice though is so not miss a dose. It'll be like having to start all over again because its not a quick fix.

Good luck!!!
