Xopenex vs. Albuterol

I currently use an albuterol/atrovent combination, but I've seen a lot of people mention xopenex and am now thinking I might like to try it.

If you nebulize it, does xopenex need to be diluted? Can it be mixed with atrovent? I've found that when I dilute my albuterol with saline, it doesn't work as well so if saline is the only thing that can be used with xopenex, that might be a problem for me.

Does your insurance pay for the xopenex with no hassle too? Thanks<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I used Xopenex once when I was having terrible tremors from Albeuterol & dont remember diluting it. Why did you dilute the Albeuterol? Never heard if it. Would seem obvious that it wont work as well diluted. Just curious?

if I only put 0.5 mls of albuterol in the nebulizer, it would be done in half a minute! I thought everybody added stuff to it???

hmm, now I'm REALLY curious...

Austin uses Xopenex. It comes premixed already in vials. Why would you dilute the other? Just wondering. The doctor switched him from Albuterol to the Xopenex because its supposed to be better with hyperness and jitteriness which he was having with the albuterol. It is more expensive than the Albuterol but his insurance covers it.
