I don't think it is a result of enzymes, but my 5 year old sometimes has yellowish stools...they are random so I am not sure what it is due to...sorry, probably not much help!

From what I have learned in school yellow of clay colored stool is a result of a bilary obstruction of some sort.... Sometimes the bile which is yellow...gets backed up into your system because it can't flow through properly...

Just something to look into.. Can be with a Gallbladder or Liver issue... I would speak to you doctor about it....

Whatever it is Good Luck,

Mine is sometimes yellow, sometimes green and can be every shade of orange/brown. I think it depends on what I eat. I suppose other things could factor in too. I would casually mention it to your doctor, but I'm guessing it's nothing serious.
If I may share a somewhat gross story...I was at a semi-formal function the other day & watermelon was served. Well, I didn't want to just spit the seeds out on my plate (very unladylike), so I swallowed them. The next day or so I had black spotted stool and it scared me at first, then I figured out what it was!
I told you it was gross!

My four year old daughter has yellowish stools off and on....sometimes they are green too. Her doctor said it's nothing to worry about unless she is having some other symptom along with it.

My 2 year old has only had yellow stools. I thought that was part of the CF. He has NEVER had a brown one. He has tie-dye when he eats Fruit Loops. I have mentioned it to our Drs and they haven't said anything about it like they were concerned. He does have liver issues too. Maybe I will mention it to them again.

I don't think I have ever had yellow stools. But I do have green sometimes. I had bright green once scared the crap out of me but I relaized I had been eating green candy. I think it's mainly from what you eat. But if they are ever clay looking then there is a problem, and I think if they are tar like that can be a problem too.
