Your breathing treatment set up

Ok we are looking at re-arranging our house and as part of that I plan to move my treatments to be mobile downstairs. Hubby wants to make sure it doesnt "look" medical or junky since it will reside in our living room.

It doesnt have to be mobil-per se though I would like it to be so that I could roll it ot the kitchen and do it while cooking or doing dishes. One alternative I thought of is getting a rolling dolley that I could throw the mobilaire/vest on when I wanted to go to the other room but have my main set up be stationary.

I would SO love it if everyone else could post pictures of their 'areas' or ideas for set ups.

Hi, I've never answered anyone before but we just did this so here goes. I needed a cabinet that could hold my sons vest system plus his neb unit. Braden our son with cf is a twin and at 18mths they are into everything. So I bought a three shelf cabinet with a door on the front(we have to lock it)I then put casiters on the bottom so I could roll it from our living room to kitchen if I want. It works great. hope this helps.

for something that looks a little classier than your standard stainless steel medical cart, what if you got a tea cart/dolly? It would be made out of wood, have a shelf on the bottom to put the vest and can be portable because it has wheels. I don't use it for meds but I have one that has a drop leaf top. I'm not sure how you could hide the nebulizer etc. on it though.
Could you take something non portable and have wheels put on it? If you were to set the wheels on the inside of it and just enough below the bottom to be able to move it but not be able to really tell its on wheels. I can't think of anything "off the shelf" that would meet all the requirements but several times I've worked on designs for something I just don't have the furniture building expertise to do it. Talk to maybe a cabinet maker or a good carpenter and see if they can help you find something

I am so glad someone asked this! Currently, I live with my grandmother so all my stuff is in my room. I have my machines sitting on the floor in front of a night stand. I use the IPV machine which is heavy and ugly with lots of tubing, just like the vest, but not very common on this site. I also have a Pulmo-Aide and the Cayston nebulizers. Along with all my saline, HTS, and extra pills in a tupperware tub under my night stand. All the pills I take on a daily basis are on top of the night stand along with my lamp, books, fingernail file, etc... Needless to say it's NOT very aesthetically pleasing! Plus my trash can is crammed in there for all the Kleenex! My bf and I are going to be getting a place together soon so I've been trying to figure out a better system for when I have to share my space. I'm so glad people have better spaces figured out than I do! Thanks everyone!

my dad actually noticed a few months ago, that i have some trouble lifting my "portable" vest machine, that yes is smaller than those other ones, but its still heavy, so he got a piece of wood, and put 4 wheels on it, so now my machines sit on that, and i tuck it away on the side of the couch when im not using it. will post picture tomorrow, just got home from the weekend away, so its all packed up right now. but it helps alot
