Your Favorite Jeans

Since I have gained a substanial amount of weight, I need new jeans. Currently I wear yoga pants which are comfortable.

I am looking for a brand named jean that are very soft and comfortable. Stretch is important to me. I bought an expensive brand of jeans five years ago and wore them a thousand times. They were every penny. They are Bella dahl jeans but they no longer make this style or anything similar to this pant<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

So please help me with what is your favorite brand and I will go and search them out and fit them on. I like a tight fit but loose around the stomach so I can pig out and not feel like I am being stuffed into a suit.

I thought that ladies with CF would understand how I feel.

I have not shopped in the jean world in years. I have lots of jeans that do not fit so I am probably going to bring them to a consignment store as they are in good shape.

What is the brand and why do you love love love them.

I buy Bongo Jeans. They have lycra in them so they do stretch enough to be comfortable. PLus they are also fairly inexpensive. They usually run me about $25 and last me for years.

thank you Liz. I use to wear Bongos but did not realize they still make them. I just went on ebay and they have tons now I have to figure out what size I would be. I have a shopping mall right around my block so that is where I am going tomorrow. Thanks.

I really like LEI (Life Energy Intelligence). They have some that are made with stretch material added in, but you have to hunt them down. Their kahki (sp?) and black ones that I have are soft and stretch good. The denium (sp?) are pretty good and durable, but the darker the color the "harder" the material is. But I read somewhere if you soak your jeans in water w/ downey in it over night will soften them up. I have a pair that I was wearing my senior year in high school. They still holding up. I think they are pretty tight but not bad in the stomache. Like you I dont like nothing tight in my stomache area. I dont like hip huggers either, feels like my pants are falling off....lol. The problem I have had with LEI lately are the latest "fashion"....they look like they have been rolled in mud, a 2 yr old got hold of elmers glue and glitter or come pre-holy....which I rather wear holes into my jeans, not buy them that way.

thank you Danyell
that is a pretty way you spell your name. I checked out LEI jeans too. I guess I am going to have to get out there and try all of these on. Ebay has great deals on new jeans but you have to be lucky to get your size. So I guess it is going to be an education on the jean world. I live in South Florida so light jeans are what I am looking for. I do not like the heavy kind. The thin denim material is not too popular.

I did buy a pair of yoga pants by city light city tech that look like jean fabric but they are not. I cannot wear the same look all the time. I like to be able to breathe deeply if you know what I mean.

I do have one pair of david bitton Buffalo that fit. They are just a little too tight but maybe they will keep on stretching. I have others in the same size but i cannot get them on any longer.

Oh well thanks and I am sure eventually I will find the dream pants.

Thank you for the jeans but I do not think they sell them in the USA. They sound great because they have a lot of stretch. Glad that you like them. I did check them out on ebay and they must be good.

I love Cruel Girl jeans. They are kinda western but not as bad as wrangler. They have a ton of different styles and they are super comfy. Some stretch some don't and they last forever. I bought a pair yesterday for $30. Light blue, low cut, and a slit on the bottom so they flair out over your shoes but their not huge over you whole lower leg. Love em.

I like Guess jeans. They work well for by bum and the legs go straight down and then bootleg cut, and with low cut on the stomach. That's what I like, I don't like the stretch material at all on me, because I don't want to attract any attention to how exactly how thin my legs are. Even when I put on muscle, I'd much prefer to have loose but well fitting jeans.

Thank you everyone. I have never tried on any of these but will go and do the shopping thing sometime next week. I will let you know what I come up with.

Today was food shopping and I decided to indulge for the holiday so I bought some ice cream.

Can you believe my tx coordinator told me to watch my carbs now. So now when I pig out on ice cream on the treadmill I must go.

I like stretch jeans because when you wash them they go back to their original fit. They only problem with stretch is some brands stretch too much so I hope to find one that has two percent spandex in them. The most important thing to me is that they are light weight and that is hard to find. I have a pair of buffalo and they are very light weight. I am going to keep those just in case I lose a little

my preference are gap jeans, more specific the long and lean
stretch ones because my legs are long and they are really
comfy.<img src="i/expressions/beer.gif" border="0">

Thanks Risa <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I dont like heavy jeans, but in the winter time in NC...they help. I have heard that Old Navy has good clothes but have yet to go in there. I hate clothes shopping! Especially for jean & shoes (and my husband couldnt be happier about that fact).

I am so HAPPY. I took your advice Danyell and soaked my jeans that I have had for years with fabric softener. My favorite jeans stretched four inches on the waist and three inches in the hip and now they Fit PERFECT. I cannot believe I am going to fit back into my pants. Now I can be picky if and when I go shopping.

Thank you all and I am going to keep all the names in mind when I go out there in shopping land. For now, I am so thrilled I can wear my new stretched out jeans.

I actually stretched them out all the way where there is no more stretch left.

I forgot to mention how I stretched them out. I have three bar stool chairs with backs and I put them over them when they were damp out of the machine. My favorite pair came out perfect and I am sure the others will too. Now I can save that money I was going to spend.

cool risa! I'm glad that helped. I got that tip off a website called Wacky Uses

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.wackyuses.com/uses.html

</a>
it has everyday products and what they could be used for. Quite interesting.

Sounds like your problems solved, but I'll throw in my 2 cents <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I love Gloria Vanderbuilt jeans! They have a nice amount of stretch in them that make them very comfortable and soft, but still keep their shape nice - and they flatter my no hip/butt shape! They are the only jeans I have that I don't have to unbutton after a big meal <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

They are pretty common - Kohls, JCPenny..... Jeans run around $20, I just got a couple of capris (I get the petite version) for $15.

I was gonna suggest not drying the jeans, but someone beat me to
it. Once they've hung dry, I toss them in the dryer for a few to
soften them up. And Danyell, I recently bought a few pairs of jeans
from Old Navy. I love it there because they're not expensive and
they have every fit. They have stretch and not stretch, short,
regular or long, and above the waist, at waist, below waist, low
rise, and ultra low rise. Great selection of styles.
