I am a nurse so I have a really nice stethescope. Prior to my transplant, I would listen to my lungs all the time! If I thought that I sounded crappier then normal I would call the doctor. I have only listened once since my transplant...I am to afraid I will hear something, but it was nice not to hear any crackles!

I used M and my stethoscope to teach a friend how to assess lung functions in her asthmatic son. I check his lungs all the time if I'm concerned. But, I don't think he can hear anything when he listens to himself.

my doc actually had me listen to myself in his office once when i had awful wheezing. it was the first time i'd had a good listen and i was fascinated. i'd like to get my own stethoscope so i can obsess over it like i do my blood pressure cuff, my thermometer, and my pulse ox, so if anyone knows of a good, reliable brand and where i can get it (online preferred), please let me know. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
