Sorry to possibly disturb some people..I don't know, it has disturbed me. I'm only 17 and I think I have a hemmeroid! I read on here that we get them more easily cause of our digestive complications..anyways, I was wondering how you guys who get them delt with them. Mines not bad, I just noticed something was different..wrong haha! But yeah, I don't want anything to come of it I guess...I might as well prevent anything further...some help here?? Please!
Thank you guys for baring with me (=

there are a couple of possibilities, it could be hemehroids (I know that is not how you spell it-sorry) or a rectal prolapse which is very common in CFers. either way, you should get into see your doctor about it.

I have had several problems in that area. I have had several fissures, and I had a tag before. Now I have another tag coming back. Allow me to explain. A fissure, best way to desribe (though it's kind of gross) is as follows : You know how in the winter your lip get so dry that they crack? Transfer that description to your anal area, and that's a fissure. A tag is basically a lump of flesh. With CF, you tend to have more bathroom breaks where you're pushing harder than most people, and in doing so, some of the inner tissue gets pushed out. It forms this little fleshy ball almost outside that you know doesn't normally belong there. I've had the fissures closed up (usually with chemical cauterization) and the first tag removed surgically back when I was... 18, I believe.

Hi

I think I may have what you call a tag, but not sure. it doesn't bother me - do I have to get it sorted (ie: could it cause harm if I didn't) as I can't feel it, just think it's there?!

It doesn't cause harm for it to sit there, but it can get very uncomfortable. Mine just kept growing until it was roughly the size of a quarter, and that's when I had it removed.

Wow, I've had CF all growing up, and somehow everyone has neglected to let me in on any of these things...I thought CF was bad enough with all the lung and digestive problems and all, but now it's disgusting as well....why does it have to be so complicated, ugh, these things just make life a little more pleasant, now don't they?? Thanks a bunch you guys, you rule
